From school riots, to warning strikes then to indefinite strike actions, Welcome to the Public Sector of the Nigerian Education System. The Beautiful complex system that has produced Billionaires, Governors, Technocrats, Business Moguls and so many top members of the society high class cadre. This System  is what should be described as “Orderliness in Disorderliness”. A system that produces less drop outs than the organized structure of the western word. All hail the very Mysterious Nigerian Educational System!!!. There is a saying that goes “If you have never experienced strike, You never went to a Nigerian school”. Yes,  Strike is a constant experience in tertiary education in this beloved country. Strike is so deep in the system that The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Since the year 2001 carries out strike actions every 4 years (2001,2005,2009,2013,2017). Commuting Nigerian Trains: A Student Account.

“Go and buy our tickets”, Those where the words of my Father on a Monday morning at the Agbado train station. The 7 O’clock Ijoko to Apapa train was a bit late that particular morning, I think the reason was a faulty engine or something. 7:15 A.M, The train came marching into the stations with it’s loud horn blaring from a kilometer away till it stopped at the station. Low and Behold, The “SULTAN OF SOKOTO” with Engine number 2216 pulling a multi colour sections of coaches maybe 8 in number stopped just a few meters from the station. Little did I know, that would be the first of many commuting on the Nigerian Railway cooperation poorly runned, Mis-managed, offensive Train Rides which I would be discussing in this article relating my own personal account.
